About us

Contra Costa Rabbit Rescue is a 501(c)(3)  non-profit corporation solely supported by donations. Our small organization is a charitable and educational  group consisting of rabbit owners and volunteers. We educate the public on current rabbit care and the importance of spay and neutering. We rescue those rabbits in need from local shelters and re-home or offer sanctuary for them.

 

Our organization believes strongly in having rabbits in the house with their family. Rabbits are intelligent social animals who need to be around their families. That is one reason we only adopt rabbits as house pets.

 

All of our rabbits get spayed and neutered to help prevent the ongoing battle of rabbit overpopulation. Sterilization makes rabbits better pets and significantly aids in clean litter box habits
